Kmart savings, designer purses, and swingsets....

I headed to Kmart today. I'm frutrated because I just worked the last 5 nights, 12 hour shifts, and then got up early today and went there so I could still try to get the deals. There was so much gone already!!

Basically, I spent $21 and saved $21 :) I was going to take a pic of the stuff....but i already put it all away.

Good news, I got my free sweatshirt, i love it :) (wearing it now)
I also got my $20 target giftcards today from the freebie company. I gotta call tomorrow and cancel my membership lol.

I am contempating buying my first every nice purse. Wanna see? I am considering buying:

http://www.ioffer.com/i/102137827 #coachB007

And A4 (dark brown) Dolce Gabbana? 81153246

And Gucci sunglass #4? 100028611

I never had a nice purse, the girls at work order them and they are very very nice, and the order only comes to about $30 a piece. That's the way to go!!

Tomorrow I think I'm going to go to Toys R Us and get a swingset. We'll see what the weather is like and how I feel.

I'm sucked into this Cavs game right now, I should be in bed....

Focus Friday

Focus Friday

Last week's recap:
Friday- Metro 7pm, finish the laundry, mark zak's clothes and put them in the attic,Spring Cleaning!, workout---did it!

Saturday-
workout, Metro 11pm, EASTER BASKET!!!!, Spring Cleaning!

Tuesday- Meet with Pat at 2pm (insurance guy), laundry, Spring Cleaning!--did this too. (see life insurance post) I also cleaned the house very well that day, and did laundry

Wednesday- Storytime with zak at willowick library 1pm, FREE, clean and Spring Cleaning!--I was very tired wednesday, so we didn't go to the library. But later that day I did a really good workout and got our hair cut.

Thursday- Metro 7pm, Spring Cleaning!
--ugh did it. and tired.

And on to this week! Its a bad work week.
Friday- Metro 7pm, Spring Cleaning!, workout
Saturday- East 7pm, Spring Cleaning!,
Sunday- East 7pm, Maybe walgreens shop, Spring Cleaning!, workout
Monday- Metro 7pm, laundry, Spring Cleaning!
Tuesday-, Spring Cleaning,!, workout,
Wednesday-, Spring Cleaning!,workout, no surfing*, get car receipts out and make a log of car repairs, get receipts for daycare together, go thru DVDs and sort them
Thursday- Educator Meeting 6:30 work East 7:00, Spring Cleaning!,workout

I also want to adapt a new thing. No surfing days. Meaning, no going online for one day a week, to just catch up on family time more. (this includes my son using the computer for pbskids.org and whatnot)

I know this will be a lot easier in summer because we'll be outside, but i'm going to set aside Wednesday this week for that. I was going to make it No Surfing Sundays, but my schedules so funky that I would have to surf at work. So, my rules:
  • I have to be off work
  • I have to have my recipe printed for the next day
  • I have to not even use my ipod touch (AHH almost like jail haha)
But I think it will be good for us :-)

I'm also trying to workout more, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything to me. I don't notice a difference in my body at all. (Probably bc I eat too much Easter candy). But hey, at least my 4 yr old isn't consuming it all!!

Ok off to bed...

My walmart trip

I was all excited today when I went to walmart and saw $5 LEI jeans on their clearance rack. Got the last one in my size. Then, there were sports leggings I got for $3. Woo hoo.

Also I got 2 lady's speedstick for $1.00ea and $.75 off 2.
Got 2 tubes of toothpaste for $2.43 (colgate)
and a little misc stuff.

I thought I did well :-)

Free GPS for opening a new checking account

You want a new checking account, but with an added extra?

Head on over to Keybank, they are giving away a GPS when you open an account.
Here's some details:

Garmin® nüvi® 205W GPS when you open one of the following checking account options and make one debit card transaction plus a combination of two direct deposits and/or automated payments each of $100 or more.*1

It's a free checking account as well. If I didn't get a free GPS last year for opening a discover card, I would be all over this. I love my GPS. Mainly because I can get lost anywhere. :-) And since I work in not the best area, I can always get out if I get lost!!

Life insurance

Ok, well my insurance agent just stopped by. I have been reading a lot of Suze Orman lately and decided to switch my life insurance policy. I had a Whole life/Cash Value policy which basically was a savings account with a life insurance policy too.

Patrick said that I will have to wait 2 years to claim my $245. So, in the meantime, I have to pay into the policy. I can only pay $35 instead of $68 and treat it as a term insurance policy and still let the money accrue interest. He recommended $35 to keep the policy going incase I change my mind.

This policy can be used for retirement and college funding. I was going to use it as college funding because when filling out forms for college, this does not count as an asset, where as a 529 plan does. So, thats where i'm stuck. I need to look at more college plans....

Any help??

Making my home a haven

Tammy's challenge today was to be cheerful and loving towards family. Today for my family (zak), I made him fruit salad that he keeps asking for. I can't wait til he gets home from school to see it. After that, I will read him his new stories before bed.

She also wants us to have a bedtime and stick to it. Unfortunately, for me, working night shift, this will never happen.

Hope you have a great monday!! (Even if we get a foot of snow here in cleveland!)
